Was Nostradamus Right About Hister?

In one of Nostradamus’s stanzas, he refers to a Hister, and many intellects, historians, Nostradamus-researches and people in general believe he was referring to Hitler.

Well I have a theory that points to why Nostradamus was most likely talking about Hitler.

Like the rest of us, I don’t have any, but I have a hunch. Hear me out.

Adolph Hitler’s father changed his name from Schicklgruber to Hitler.

What does Adolph Hiter’s father’s name change have to do with Nostradamus’ prediction about Hister?

First lets read the stanza together so we can all see the context:

“From the depths of the West of Europe, A young child will be born of poor people, he who by his tongue will seduce a great troop; his fame will increase towards the realm of the East.”

“Beasts ferocious with hunger will cross the rivers, The greater part of the battlefield will be against Hister. Into a cage of iron will the great one be drawn, When the child of Germany observes nothing.”

Now the common notion as to why Hister is considered Hitler is because apparently the Latin name for the Danube – which is the name of the people that live along the Danube river – Hister.

Also, the Danube river is Europe’s second longest river, and it starts in Germany. So I can see by reading the full stanza, along with the connection with Hister and Danube, but I think there’s another connection too.

Since Adolph’s father changed his last name to Hitler, we could also posit that Nostradamus was signalling to us another cause to examine why he used Hister as a misspelling. Was it a “miss-naming” too?

I don’t subscribe to the notion that Nostradamus used Hister because he was afraid of being tortured. Why would he be tortured for predicting the name of a future leader? He wouldn’t.

It’s something to consider as another reason Hister could actually be referencing Adolph Hitler and more specifically a change from his original name.

On a site note, Schicklgruber starts with an S – Hitler or Hister.
